Cooking Family Memories

This past weekend, my family and I went to visit my side of the family. I was reminded how important it is to keep family alive for my kids. One of the best ways is through food. One of the staples of my growing up was fried potatos. My aunt and grandma make the best fried taters I have ever had. The secret ingredient is bacon grease. That is what makes them the best.

Get a skillet very hot, add bacon grease, potatos, salt and pepper. Let the potatos cook until they start to turn golden brown on the bottom. Turn the potatos and cook until done. They are fabulous!!! Cooking these potatos for my family is one way I can keep my side alive for them.
What do you have in your family food vault that can bring some family memories for you?
